We love getting to design custom schemes that have a bit of a challenge to them. Crafting a modern and sleek custom paint scheme design on classic aircraft like the RV-9A is just the kind of unique challenge we live for!
This scheme in particular had not only a unique design challenge but also an interesting selection of paint! We were able to achieve the unique visual effects which give it depth by mixing a combination of solid colors and special metal flakes. This causes the paint to not only stand out, but appear like its glowing as well! It is dazzling to see the honeycombs glitter in the sunlight as it soars overhead!
