This gorgeous homebuilt Vans RV-7 got a sleek makeover! We loved working with Brian Beatty to bring this design to life for him. The rich red, bright white, and touches of black bring character to this plane while keeping it elegant and classy.
Brian wanted his RV-7’s tail art to nod to his roots in Colorado, but didn’t want blue and yellow of the Colorado flag to clash with the deep red, so we created a color scheme and design that would highlight the flag without making it stand out in a negative way. To finalize the scheme we added some red and black carbon fiber throughout the design, a small paper airplane on the horizontal stabilizers, and the latin phrase “ Conatus Superbia” (meaning pride in the endeavor) on the cowling.
This bird is a one-of-a-kind work of art! Thanks to Brian for allowing us to have a hand in this project, and thanks to Evoke Aviation for doing a wonderful paint job to finish it all up!
