This gorgeous Gulfstream presented a unique challenge for the Evoke Aircraft Design team. In particular, the scheme needed to be professional, yet unique and striking to appeal to the customer's taste. On paper, the scheme presented classic curves, as well as vertical lines that repeat while fading into the dark background. The black and white color scheme by itself is nothing spectacular, but with the addition of the fades, it really brought the contrasting portions of the scheme to life.
Given the technical challenges presented with fades in aircraft painting, Jonathan (our lead designer), gave his recommendation to have the client request him fly to Duncan Aviation to oversee the paint process. Most clients never need to utilize this aspect of our service, but for this project, it seemed an appropriate situation for this type of consultation. Upon arrival, Jonathan was able to collaborate with the Duncan staff to ensure the use of any specialized techniques that were required. All in all, it was a pleasure to visit the facility and work with the team and give appreciation for the work that they do.
