MiG 17 N1713 Custom Paint Scheme
“When the latest addition to my collection of warbirds needed to look pristine and accurate, I knew that Evoke Aircraft Design had me in good hands. I knew they appreciated the history and importance of that to me in this scheme and it came out great. On top of that everyone involved in the process was more than friendly and helpful in getting this project from concept to reality.”

Bill Culberson is an avid warbird pilot. He is a member of the Red Star Pilot's Association, and flies several different airplanes; including a Yak-52, L-29, and a MiG-15UTI. This new addition to his fleet needed some TLC, and went through some intense body work and scrubbing to prep it for paint.
The design was a simple enough recreation of a wartime factory scheme, and was designed to match Randy Ball's MiG that is often featured in airshows across the USA. This was intentional, of course, as Bill has joined Randy in making appearances with the jet, most often in the Southeast region of the US.
It was a pleasure to work on the project, and to be in touch with a piece of history.
