Van's RV-14 N53VL Custom Paint Scheme
Jason and Michelle Van Loan’s Van’s RV-14 combines sleek, angular styling with subtle patriotic details. A cool silver base gives the aircraft a clean, modern foundation, while fine metallic blue covers the upper surfaces with a rich finish that comes alive in the sunlight. Faded stars appear across the cowling, wingtips, and top of the vertical stabilizer, adding depth and character without overpowering the overall design.
Jagged grey streaks cut across the fuselage in a lightning-bolt pattern, creating sharp transitions between the silver and blue. Their dramatic angles emphasize the RV-14’s speed and streamlined profile, giving the aircraft an energetic sense of motion even while sitting still. The combination of metallic finishes, weathered stars, and bold geometry makes the finished scheme feel both refined and powerful.
We were so happy to work with Jason and Michelle on their RV-14 and help bring such a distinctive vision to life.
