Van's RV-14 N9414G Custom Paint Scheme
Phil and Pam Sprang’s Van’s RV-14 is an unapologetically bold display of color, movement, and personality. Three different shades of teal collide across the aircraft in a complex network of sharp, jagged lines. The layered pattern extends over the entire airframe, creating an intentionally busy design that feels fast, energetic, and constantly in motion.
Cutting through the chaos is a single smooth line of coral. Its graceful path provides a striking contrast to the aggressive geometry surrounding it, bringing just enough balance to the composition while adding an unexpected burst of warmth.
The aircraft holds one final surprise for anyone watching from below: a bright yellow smiley face tucked onto the belly in playful peekaboo fashion. It is a fun and memorable detail that perfectly captures the personality behind this truly one-of-a-kind RV-14.
We were honored to work with Phil and Pam on such a daring design and help bring their colorful, imaginative vision to life.
