Brian Steeves built his first RV-10, had it designed with a different firm, sold it, then immediately regretted his decision to sell. To dampen his regret, Brian went out and bought another kit to start a new one, but decided to test the waters with different designers. Cue the Evoke Aircraft Design team!
Brian traveled from his town in North Dakota to Airventure, Oshkosh, where we met and discussed his project with him for the first time. It was this meeting that spurred the design process, which really he let us have free reign on. We worked on different styles for a number of months, up until the build was finished. From there, Brian flew the aircraft down to our shop for an in-person design review, where we finalized this scheme and discussed plans for paint.
Thanks to Brian for trusting us with this project! He was a joy to work with, and this was truly a fun scheme to design. This beauty won Grand Champion Kit Built at SUN ‘n FUN 2019.
